Sun shines on Eastbourne charity golf day

A charity golf day organised by Clarke Roofing has raised more than £7,000 to support children with disabilities.

The event at The Royal Eastbourne Golf Club supports the Freddie Farmer Foundation in its campaign to bring a specialised physiotherapy centre to Bromley. With the centre now in operation after a three-year fundraising campaign, it still relies on donations to cover annual costs so it can continue to help children with cerebral palsy and serious mobility problems.

Charity officer, Karen Smith, said: “We’re so grateful to Clarke Roofing for choosing to support the Freddie Farmer Foundation.

“We’ll use the money to buy adapted equipment for our children.

“Thanks to everyone who helped out and took part. You’re amazing!”
