01 May Last Night of the Freddie’s fundraising dinner success

Saturday’s fundraising dinner at Oakley House in Bromley has raised £11,000 for the Freddie Farmer Foundation.

The Last Night of the Freddie’s annual fundraising dinner was attended by 238 people making it the biggest event of its kind for the foundation.

As well as the £11,000 raised from the event, an additional £10,000 was gifted to the charity from a loyal supporter, and 1st Battalion the Irish Guards made an additional donation of £288.17 from the proceeds of a cake sale.

There was also a Militaire Orchestra sing-a-long, live music by Andy Robinson, raffle, silent auction and dancing, as well as special guests The Chelsea Pensioners and Irish Guards Pipes and Drums, as well as 2018 London Marathon runners Lee Knight, Andy Richards and Lee Gledhill.

“We couldn’t have wished for a better night,” said charity officer Karen Smith.

“We had some brilliant raffle and auction prizes and some amazing guests, but the unveiling of our new video, produced by Freddie’s mum Deanne, was the ultimate highlight.”
