Fundraising golfers back annual golf day

A charity golf day at Shooters Hill Golf Club has raised £7500 for the Freddie Farmer Foundation.

23 teams of four took to the greens at the south-east London club to support the new Freddie Farmer Foundation physiotherapy centre which provides intensive physiotherapy programmes for disabled children.

Karen Smith, charity officer at the charity said: "Our thanks goes to all the members and staff at Shooters Hill Golf Club and to all our sponsors, helpers and supporters.

"We hold this event at Shooters Hill Golf Club every year and we are very grateful for their support. We had a fantastic day."

The competition was won by Malkies Marauders, captain Scottie, with team members Ross Taylor, Fred Evans and Steven Horkulak.

Entertainment included a hog roast, a raffle, an auction and dancing.
