Fundraisers Prepare For Gruelling Three Peaks Challenge

A team from Project Leaders are preparing to tackle one of the toughest challenges in the UK to raise money for the Freddie Farmer Foundation charity.

The team of 12 will start their endurance feat at the foot of Ben Nevis on September 24. They aim to be at the bottom of Snowdon 24 hours later, having climbed three of the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales – a challenge that involves 22 miles uphill!

With a target of £10,000, the team will be raising money for the Freddie Farmer Foundation's "LokoHelp campaign" to purchase a "game-changing" piece of equipment called a LokoHelp electromechanical gait trainer to enable disabled children to walk.

“It’s great to see the work they do for the children at the foundation!” said organiser Laura Murphy.
