Fantastic Farleigh! Captains Charity Golf Day raises vital funds

Farleigh Golf Club in Warlingham held a Captains Charity Golf Day on Saturday 2nd October to raise money for Freddie Farmer Foundation and Cruse Bereavement Care.

The Surrey club raised a fabulous £4,190.00 which will be shared equally between the two charities.

Farleigh Golf Club Captains, Andy McGinlay and Katie Thomas, nominated the two charities to benefit from Farleigh’s Captain’s Charity Day which was held earlier this month.

Charity Centre Manager Karen Smith from the Freddie Farmer Foundation said she was “overwhelmed” by the news and the huge success of the Golf Day, despite the awful British weather!

“We are so very grateful for Farleigh’s support, it’s an amazing amount of money which will enable us to continue to support disabled children,” said Karen.

Thanks to everyone who got involved, either by playing, donating, or taking part in the raffles and auctions. It really is appreciated.
