Charity Ball raises £25,000

A total of 237 guests enjoyed a fabulous night of eating, drinking and dancing this month at Oakley House, Bromley.

The sold-out event offered entertainment from singer Andy Robinson, Chas & Dave Tribute Band, Daz and Chave and magician Andrew Kelly, and further money was raised thanks to a fantastic secret auction.

Freddie Farmer Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Freddie Farmer physiotherapy centre, which provides intensive physiotherapy programmes for disabled children aged between three and 16 years.

The charity organises the black tie event every year.

Karen Smith, the charity’s centre manager, said: “This was our fifth one, and it’s just getting bigger and better all the time!

“The food was amazing and the team at Oakley House were superb, they just couldn’t do enough for us.

“It was a lot of hard work but we raised a fabulous £25,000, including a £10,000 donation from a generous supporter, the night was a total success.”

Plans for next years’ event are well underway, with the 2020 Charity Ball scheduled for Saturday 9th May at Oakley House, Bromley.
