Danny was announced as a regional winner to represent London on ITV News London on Friday evening (September 12).
He is one of 17 winners making up the finalists for the glittering London award ceremony at Grosvenor House in October after raising 350,000 pounds in just three years for his charity – the Freddie Farmer Foundation and he is now in the running to win the prestigious national Pride of Britain award.
Peter Willis, founder of the Pride of Britain Awards, said: “Many congratulations to Danny on his achievement. We’re delighted he will join us at the Pride of Britain Awards. It’s going to be a night to remember.”
The national winner of the Fundraiser Award will be announced live on the night of the ceremony which will be televised on ITV, in a two-hour special.
Hosted by Carol Vorderman, the awards attract an audience of around five million viewers every year in a primetime slot on ITV - making it the highest rated awards show of its kind on British television.
